My daughter’s hair is very long and curly. When I took her with me to the saloon last weekend, my saloonist thought it would be a good idea to straighten it up with a blow drier.
Though she made it very categorical that she did not like the idea, she eventually gave up protesting and let us have our way with the hair. Actually I had to nurse her while the saloonist did her thing. I was really pleased with the results and could not believe just how long her hair had grown in the last one and a half years; a lot longer than my hair has grown in the last 10 years.
But just 3 days later, it started shrinking and curling again and was back to its original state in no time. Don’t get me wrong, I like how it has always looked, but I was also growing into the new look. For now though, curly will do just fine. I just use a conditioning detangler to make it easy to comb.
