Mpesa rates increased recently as a result of increased taxes. Below are the new Mpesa rates.

You will notice that while the charges for transactions less than 100 Kenyan Shillings have stayed the same, the charges for transaction higher than Ksh. 100 have gone up.

Mpesa transaction charges and rates depends on certain amounts under which one wishes to transact. Mpesa withdrawing charges differs to those of depositing charges and as well as sending charges. Other factors like transacting with unregistered numbers also do affect the transaction charges. So here we are answering questions like; What are the MPESA charges for withdrawing from an agent? And what is the cost of transferring money to an un-registered Safaricom Number? To answer this, we look at what Safaricom is charging currently for their services.
The registration and deposits of many are free services, you just need to visit the nearest Mpesa agent.

In a day, you can send a maximum of KSh. 140,000 using MPESA. However, the transaction limit is KSh. 70,000. Therefore, you will have to send the 140,000K in two batches.
Currently, it costs more amount to send money to an un-registered number in 2018.

• The maximum amount of cash you can have in your line is KSHs.100,000
• The maximum Daily Transaction limit is KSHs.140,000. While the maximum per transaction is KSHs.70,000

• To carry out any transaction, the Safaricom line you have in your phone must be active. In addition, the Mpesa account must also be active.
