When looking for a kindergarten for your child, there are things that you have to consider. Below are the major ones.

A for Apple |
This refers to how far or close the school is to your house. Your best bet will be a school in your neighbourhood. Most schools offer transportation though and you need to put in mind the school’s bus schedule to see whether it works for you.
- Special interests like arts, language, and alternative programs
Each kid is born with special talents and interests. If your child is into arts, you might need to choose a school that offers that. If she is into dancing, a school with a ballet class would be a plus.
- School curriculum structure
Different schools have different curriculum structures. Whichever you choose to go with, remember that at this age, what your child needs best is a programme that allows them to explore their creativity and be themselves. Play time is very important.
The situation of your pockets also determines the perfect school for your child. You do not want to settle for a school that is too expensive . Choose one that is just right for your budget.
The playground and other amenities for physical activities should also be considered. Does the school have a gymnasium, is there a swimming pool and how important do you consider these amenities. It is difficult to get everything in one school, just see whether what you consider important is available.
- Talk to other parents in the community.
Finally, make sure to talk to other parents with kids in that school to learn whether the kindergarten has a good reputation.
