8 Reasons Why Water Should be Your Favorite Drink

Water is one of my favorite drinks. There’s nothing as refreshing as a glass of this nature given liquid on a hot day. Quenching your thirst is just one of its many health benefits. Take a look at the list below:
  • Weight loss
  • Water has been known to suppress the appetite. This means that one is able to eat less to their fill. It also flushes out the by-products of fat breakdown thus preventing it from being deposited in our bodies.
It also helps the liver to metabolize stored fats making it the perfect magic potion for weight loss.

  • Detoxification
  • To get rid of excess salts that can cause complications such as hypertension and high blood pressure, one needs to take enough water.
This in turn helps the body to detoxify through sweat and urine.

  • Young and healthier skin
  • Water gives the skin its elasticity. This helps o prevent sagging skin. It works by replenishing the skin tissues and moisturizing the skin thus giving it a glowing, healthier and younger look.

  • Maintain body temperature
  • Drinking of water naturally regulates the body temperature. This could go a long way in boosting the energy needed to fuel the muscles during exercise.

  • Helps in digestion
  • Water helps relieve constipation. This may hinder normal bowel movement as well as increasing the chances of getting colon cancer. But once we drink a lot of water, you are able to have regular daily bowel movements.

  • Better Productivity at Work
  • The brain is mostly made up of water, thus drinking water helps you think better, be more alert and more concentrate.

  • Boosts immunity
  • Drinking plenty of water helps in fighting common ailments. Examples are flu, heart attack, and kidney stones

  • Treatment for fluid retention
  • Drinking enough water is the best treatment for fluid retention. When the body gets less water, it perceives this as a threat to survival and begins to hold on to every drop. Water is stored in extracellular spaces. This shows up as swollen feet, legs and hands. Retained water shows up as excess weight.
The only way to get rid of this is to drink more water.
Go ahead and take a glass of water to a beautiful, healthy and fit you. 🙂
