5 Insanely Controversial Women in Kenya

There are women in Kenya who are so controversial that every little thing that they do is looked at through a microscope, dissected and documented mostly on social media. This is mostly because they are not conservative and mostly go against the norm. It makes them fodder for gutter press and a source of entertainment for many. They love the attention and feed off it.
In this list we look at Kenyan women who turn everything they touch into tabloid gold.

Esther Adongo Arunga has got to be the mother of controversial women in Kenya. She was beautiful, talented and destined for greatness.  This was until she joined the Finger of God Church, got engaged, quit her job, became estranged from her parents, announced that she was running for presidency and finally moved to Australia with her equally scandalous hubby Quincy Timberlake.
The Geographic distance she put between herself and her home country did little to help her situation. Drama followed her across the Pacific. Her first born son’s tragic murder and her suspected involvement in it thrust her on the limelight once again.
The last Kenya heard of her, she had left the name Esther Arunga behind and was now going by the name Chryslertte Provydence Timberlake. You can bet your last coin that this is not the last you are hearing from Mrs. Timberlake.
Vera Sidika

She rose to overnight fame when she appeared in P-Units video ‘You Guy’ shaking her larger than life booty.  She has since claimed her spot as one of Kenya’s socialites and appears in Nigerian and Ghanaian Videos. When not posting her naked photos on social media, you will find the Mombasa born Vera Sidika feuding with fellow socialite Huddah Monroe or travelling the world as an escort.
2014 was a big year for Vera. She bleached her body, enhanced her boobs and invested in expensive wigs. This, she has claimed, sky-rocketed her socialite career to new heights.  Stay tuned for it is only a matter of time before her procedures become botched. Before then however, I am pretty sure that she’ll be doing some crazy things to remain in the limelight.

With big hair and a even bigger personality, Rachel Shebesh is the ultimate Nairobi girl. Not afraid to get dirty, she is not one to shy away from drama. A fierce politician and a brutal activist, Shebesh has made news for everything from being slapped on national TV to being linked romantically with a fellow politician. This has not stopped the wife and mother though.
Njoki Chege

Njoki Chege is a Daystar University graduate, a blogger and a Daily Nation Columnist. She is notorious for writing articles that do not sit well with young men and married women alike.
When not attacking married women for their weight and telling them that they are to blame for their men cheating, Njoki Chege is crossing heads with the young men by insulting their cars and their one-bedroom apartments.
She has said often that she would rather date a married rich guy than a single but broke dude.  After all, you cannot put love on the table for dinner.
Huddah Monroe

Huddah is another controversial socialite in Nairobi. She appeared on Big Brother Africa, setting a record for the shortest stay in the house.
When not posting her naked pictures online, you will find Huddah smoking weed. She was recently accused of being a high profile prostitute just like her rival Vera Sidika.
